John's career started in hospitality, where he worked every role from server to General Manager. Leading teams in a fast-paced, people-first business taught him what real people deal with every day — and the difference between training that sticks and training people sit through.
Today he brings that experience to organizations of every kind, from state agencies and law enforcement to corporate teams, associations and small businesses. A Florida State graduate, John founded Shermetaro Speaking in 2022 to help teams communicate better, own their work and actually enjoy working together.
